Psychological Testing

I provide psychological assessments for adolescents and children.

These types of assessments provide a comprehensive evaluation of cognitive strengths and weaknesses and are designed to answer specific diagnostic questions. For example, questions preceding a child’s assessment may include whether or not there is a specific learning difficulty, whether or not a child is ‘gifted’, or what may be impacting a child’s poor social and emotional functioning. Results of such assessments help determine a child’s pattern of strengths and weaknesses and may help guide appropriate intervention and support.

Costs involved in these types of assessments are not reimbursed through Medicare. They typically take around 2 hours to administer, and after scoring and report writing is completed, there is a short feedback session to the client or client’s parents.
